No-egg protein meringues

▶︎

Are you craving something sweet that is also good for you? Try these crispy light-as-air meringues packed with protein. Super-easy to make with only whey protein, sugar, water, and a pinch of salt – no eggs needed. Just whip them together and bake them slowly in the oven at low heat.

25 meringues

Ingredients

60 g vanilla whey protein

90 ml water

75 g sugar

75 g icing sugar

Method

1. Pour whey protein, water, and salt into a mixing bowl or stand mixer.

2. Mix at high speed for 5 minutes.

3. Mix sugar and icing sugar and add it gradually while mixing for another 4 minutes. Mix until the mixture looks thick and glossy and stands up in stiff peaks when you lift the whisk.

4. Pipe the meringues onto a baking tray lined with baking paper.

5. Bake in the oven for 2 hours at 100 °C degrees (210°F).

6. Serve and enjoy your crunchy protein power treats.

Tip:
We’ve used vanilla whey protein for that classic flavour, but you can easily use other flavours like strawberry or chocolate – or try your own favourite variant.
