Waffles for dinner? No problem. These soft savory waffles with spinach and graham flour make a surprising – and surprisingly healthy – dish that your kids will love.
We have filled ours with falafel, fresh chilis, green salad and pickled red onions. But you can use any salads or lean meats you like.
- 125 g spinach
- 95 g wheat flour
- 3 dl milk
- 30 g whey protein
- 3 eggs
- 75 graham flour
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- Add all the ingredients to a large bowl and mix well with a hand blender until the batter is smooth and free from lumps.
- Pour a little batter into a hot, greased waffle maker and bake the waffles until they’re deliciously golden.
- Serve with your favorite fillings.
Tip: Green salads add a fresh crunch to the soft waffles.
